Ms. Gladys Marie Pierce, age 82, a former resident of Terrapin Branch Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, February 4, at Hidden Acres Nursing Home.
Funeral services for Ms. Pierce will be conducted Sunday February 7 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Edd Brown and Bro. Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow in the Blowing Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born November 9, 1927 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Dolly Kennedy Pierce. She was a private sitter, loved to quilt and crochet and was a member of Sandy Hook Church of Christ.
She is survived by her niece: Wanda Bill Stewart of Mt. Pleasant; nephew: Charles Betty Collins of Mt. Pleasant; several other nieces and nephews; great nieces: Barbara Jeff Heatherly of Lawrenceburg, Melissa Alvin Morrow of Hampshire, Katie Stewart and Helen McNabb, both of Mt. Pleasant; several other great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Herman Pierce, Allie Pierce, Ed Pierce, Roy Pierce, Dewey Pierce, Hugh Pierce, Hershell Pierce and Bud Pierce; sisters: Ruby Collins, Ethel Keltner and Sherma.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Heatherly, Alvin Morrow, Bruce Keltner, Dewayne Collins and Jonathan McNabb.
