Born June 14, 1929, Mrs. Thomsen went to be with our Good Lord on Friday, August 3, 2012. She passed away at her home on Hillview Drive in Columbia, TN.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Janice "Jan" Thomsen Cathey of Columbia. She has 2 grandchildren, Jamie Alan Cathey Stephens and Brian Natalie Douglas Cathey, both of Columbia . She has 3 great granddaughters, Alexus SuMarie, MaKenze Ray and Paiton Elizabeth Stephens also of Columbia. She is preceded in death by her father, Elton F. Conner and Bessie Cates Conner, both of Hickman Co. She had 10 brothers and sisters who have gone on to the Lord.
Mrs. Thomsen was born in Hickman Co, TN, raised and lived in Santa Fe, Hampshire and Mt. Pleasant before moving to Columbia.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with burial to follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Danny Conner, George Conner, Alan Mace, Andy Brumitt, Darrell Lovett and Raymond Conner, Jr., Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Gaylon Harris, Dr. Steven Smith, Dr. Clyde Heflin of St. Thomas Medical Group and the providers of Caris Healthcare.
