Gilma Irma Alveo Loftin

Mrs. Gilma "Irma" Alveo Loftin of Hampshire, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 06, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Loftin was born on December 23, 1942 to the late Hipolito Alveo and the late Francisca Reyes Alveo in Cabuya de Anton, Panama, Republic of Panama. She was married to Bobby Loftin on August 23, 1964 and they had four children together. Irma worked in food services at Hampshire School for 13 years and at the UT 4-H camp for 17 years, serving many children along the way. She was an active and devout member at St. Catherine Catholic Church and worked with the Knights of Columbus as well as the People's Table.
Mrs. Loftin leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband: Bobby Loftin of Hampshire; children: Joseph D. Nancy Loftin of Lyles, TN, Lisa Loftin of Knoxville, TN, Patricia "Patsy" Robert "Bob" Pointer and Robert Dezerae Loftin of Aurora, CO; grandchildren: Amber, Bryce, Gabrielle, Elijah, Jacob, Noah, Bayli, Kaleb, Payton and Chloie; sisters: Graciela Bost of Wilmington, NC, Ruth E. Rowley of Baltimore, MD and Yolanda Fojt of Chicago, IL and numerous brothers and sisters in Panama.
Irma will be remembered by her family at a memorial service at St. Catherine Catholic Church 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. The family will visit with friends from 3:30 p.m. until time for service. A graveside service and inurnment will be held in The Arbors at Polk Memorial Gardens at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is assisting the family with the arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.williamsfh.com .
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Catherine Catholic Church, 3019 Cayce Lane, Columbia, TN 38401.
