Gertrude "Liz" Elizabeth Davis

Mrs. Gertrude Elizabeth Davis, age 79, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Liz was born on March 5, 1937 in Garden City, Michigan to William and Margaret Pasel Trethway. She married Hubert Kenneth Davis and they had four children together. She was a good friend to many people and was constantly helping others. She never refused anyone who needed help. She loved her boys, being very close to her sons. She was always taking care of everyone else instead of attending to her own needs. She was a hard worker, having retired from Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing as a seamstress.

Liz is survived by her beloved sons: Jeff (Sheila) Davis, Gerry (Marye Smith) Davis and David (Kelly) Davis all of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Sandra Davis, Beth (Joseph) Todd, Eric (Amanda) Davis, Daniel Davis, Megan Davis and Nicholas Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Margaret Pasel Trethway; husband: Hubert Kenneth Davis and daughter: Vicki Davis.

Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow at Blowing Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, September 6 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Davis, Donnie Isabell, Michael Davis, Richard Davis and Scotty Isabell. Johhny Davis will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
