Mrs. Geraldine "Gerry" Hickman, age 71, resident of Roy Thompson Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, November 26, in Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hickman will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Edd Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born on November 27, 1938, in Maury County, Gerry was the daughter of the late Farris McAnally and Frances Beckenbach McAnally. She was the wife of Pat L. Hickman of Mt. Pleasant. Gerry was a graduate of Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant and was a member of the Cathey's Creek Church of Christ. She loved gardening, both raising vegetables and working with flowers. Gerry was a lady with a kind and gentle spirit who devoted herself to her family. She loved her pets, Buddy and Molly and was known to take in any stray that would come to her home.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Pat, include her daughter Patricia Lynn Paul Keltner of Columbia; one sister, Linda Gene Barker of Mt. Pleasant; one nephew, Mark Brandy Barker of Murfreesboro and three nieces, Janice Mike Mabry of Columbia, Sandra Fred Sellee of Columbia and Sheila Tony Rountree of Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be Mark Barker, Paul Keltner, Mike Mabry, Fred Sellee, Tony Rountree, Stanley Straker and Dickie Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Vicky Ingrum, Dr. Ambrose Langa, the nurses and staff of Maury Regional Medical Center ICU and members of the Cathey's Creek Church of Christ.
