Geraldine "Geri" Cole, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 23, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Born on September 21, 1952, to the late Russell and Edna Colburn in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Geri brought joy and love to all who knew her.
Geri had a zest for life and cherished spending time with her family. She found great delight in embarking on cruises with her loved ones and trying her luck at the casino. Gardening was one of her passions, and she had a special fondness for her lilac bush, a gift from her husband, which she tended to with care. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jimmy Cole, her children, Diane (Joey) Hargrove and Jamie Pierce, her grandchildren, Ashlyn (Nicholas) Fields, Kyle Craig, Colton Griggs, and Mason Hodge, as well as her great-grandchildren, Baylee, Grace, and Brodee Fields; and siblings: Rusty and Mary. Geri is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Tina Hodge, and her sisters Patty and Susie.
Geri will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
