Gerald Mark Davis

Gerald Mark “Gerry” Davis, a quiet yet steadfast presence in the lives of all who knew him, passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, and simple joys. Gerry was born March 16, 1963 in Columbia, TN to the late Hubert K. Davis and Elizabeth “Trethaway” Davis.

A man of few words, Gerry let his actions speak volumes. He dedicated many years of his life to Union Sheet Metal, where he showed his relentless work ethic and steady commitment. Few worked harder—or with more heart—than Gerry.

When he wasn't working, Gerry cherished the time he had with his family, whether that was out on the water enjoying a peaceful day, cheering on his beloved Tennessee Vols, or riding 4-wheelers with a grin that said more than words ever could. He also found joy in life’s quieter moments—particularly tending to his garden, where he nurtured each plant with the same care and patience he showed his loved ones.

Gerry was the kind of man whose presence brought calm, whose love ran deep, and whose loyalty never wavered. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by those fortunate enough to have known him.

The family is having a graveside service for Gerry 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2025 at Blowing Springs Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee with Bro. Danny Grooms officiating.

Gerry is survived by his wife Mary Davis; sons: Eric and Danial Davis; Step Children: Jake Lightner, Peggy Boshers, Aggie Lightner, and Katie Lightner; grandchildren: Layken Davis, Landon Davis, Johnny Ray Lightner, Marissa Boshers, and JoAnna Jennings; brothers: David (Kelly) Davis and Jeff Davis; several nieces and nephews. Gerry is preceded in death by his parents and sister Victoria Lynn Davis.

Pallbearers will be family members.
