Georgia Ann Odom, age 74, passed away after a long hard battle with breast cancer on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Columbia, Tennessee.
Georgia was born on August 7, 1948, to the late Henry Ewing Kennedy, Sr., and Ruthie Lee Zimmerman Kennedy in her home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. She was married to the late Richard Odom on November 7, 1966.
Georgia was a strong, resilient woman of God. She was a faithful member of Faith Pentecostal Church in Columbia, TN. Reading her Bible and spreading God’s word was a core part of who she was. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son: Keith (Kelly) Odom; daughter: Angie (Timmy) Collins; son: Ray (Wendy) Odom; grandchildren: Alyssa Odom, Nathan Odom, Krissa (Bradley) Wimberley, Steven (Destanee) Odom, William (Brianna Foss) Luttrell, Chevy Ray (Vallie Stanfill) Odom, Alexis Willoughby, and Carson Willoughby; great-grandchildren: Shane Myers, Anna Myers, Cooper Myers, Skylynn Wimberley, Harper Luttrell, Georgia Luttrell, Kashton Wimberley, and Gabriel Boshers; siblings: David (Delvene) Kennedy, Carolyn Ragsdale, Bruce Kennedy, Annie Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Georgia is preceded in death by her siblings: Shirley Beaty, Mary Cotton, Billy Kennedy, Henry Ewing, Jr., and Mailene Burks.
