Georgia Karena Pierce

Mrs. Georgia Karena Pierce, age 75, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee passed away at home on Saturday, June 14, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph George Bassham and the late Reba Brewer and was born in the Sandy Hook community of Maury county on June 24, 1938. She was a Registered Nurse, having retired from Maury Regional Medical Center. She loved playing the guitar, piano and loved music in general. She also loved to paint. She loved her family immensely.
She is survived by her children: Christopher (Cindy) Frazier of the Sandy Hook community and Robin (Jeff) Weaver of Columbia; grandchildren: Justin Weaver, Shelley (Kenny) Asbury and Jonathan (Angie) Bolton; great-grandchildren: Stacie, Kevin and Randy Asbury and Cayden Bolton; great-great-grandson: Justice Asbury; siblings: Joan Hermsdorfer and Ray (Martha) Bassham; step-brothers: Jimmie Pierce and Lionel Pierce; and step-sister Rojean Wilt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Pierce.
A memorial service for Karena will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Sandy Hook Church of Christ with Bro. Jeff Waldrop officiating.
