Georgia “Marie” Black Gladson Hedman, age 72, passed away on Thursday, July 03, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Marie was born on June 26, 1942 in Trenton, Tennessee to the late William Craig Black and Virginia Pugh Black. Marie was married to the late Vernon “Boomer” Hedman. She was a member at Straightway Christian Church. Marie loved her Lord, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed puzzle books. Marie enjoyed having visitors, but she would let you know when it was time to go.
The family will visit with friends on Friday, July 4, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant with James Maddox officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Marie is survived by her daughters Cindy (Dean) Shore of Columbia, Tennessee and Donna Chunn of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; sons Michael (Pam) Gladson of Grandbury, Texas and John (Carleen) Gladson of Washington; grandsons Eric (Heather) Shore, Joseph Rebello, Cory Dedmon, and Derek Dedmon; granddaughters Heather (Dawn) Shore, Erica Rebello, and Courtney Dedmon; great-granddaughter Omi Rebello; great-grandson William Barrett Shore; and sisters Judy (Donnie) Grimes and Pamela (Billy) Lovett. She was loved by all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Marie is preceded by her husband Vernon “Boomer” Hedman, parents William and Virginia Black, brother William Craig Black Jr., and Martha Kline.
Pallbearers will be Blake Hardison, Robby Lovett, Randy Bratton, Cory Dedmon, Jason Andrews, Eddie McFadden, and Eric Shore.
Honorary Pallbearers are Stan Pederson and the staff of Signature Health Care of Columbia.
