Miss Georgia Elizabeth Osborne, 82, a resident of McKendree Towers in Hermitage, Tennessee, died Friday, January 24, 2003 at Centennial Medical Center.
Graveside services for Miss Osborne will be conducted Sunday, January 26, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. at Arlington Cemetery with Reverend Amos Jarman officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. at Williams Columbia Funeral Home.
The Marshall County native was the daughter of the late Grover Allen and Virginia Alston Hayes Osborne. She was a retired language teacher in Davidson County, having taught at Dupont High School for 41 years. She was a beloved teacher in which many students still visited her. She was a former long-time resident of Old Hickory, Tennessee and a member of Zion Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one sister, Virginia Dan McClendon of Nashville; one niece, Sherrie Joe Tipton of Brentwood; one nephew, Danny Jodi McClendon of Dallas, Texas; three great-nephews, Joey Tipton and Justin Tipton of Brentwood, and Parker McClendon of Dallas Texas; one great-niece, Madison McClendon of Dallas, Texas.
Avtive Pallbearers will be Bill Connellan, Mickey McDonald, Steve McDonald, Justin Tipton, Danny McClendon and Dan McClendon.
Memorial may be made to charity of choice.
