George T. Russell

George T. Russell, age 72, of Wynne, AR, long time Columbia resident, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 29, 2010. Five years ago on this day, his triplet grandchildren were born.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 PM until 8 PM and Monday from 12 PM until 2 PM.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Frank G. Russell and Lacey E. Tatum Russell; brothers, Woodrow Pete Russell, Frank Russell, Jr., and Marvin M. Russell and sister, Elizabeth Seagraves.

George was born on January 5, 1938 in Campbellsville, Tennessee. He was a 1957 graduate of Campbellsville High School. He was the former owner of Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, Tennessee. He loved ham radios and electronics. He was a member of the Maury Amateur Radio Club and owner of Maury Web Pages and Cross County Web Pages. George was self employed and owned National Name Plates.

Survivors are his wife, Ann Hindman Russell of Wynne; daughter, Angie Smith and husband Mike of Wynne; sister, Ivadell Dalton and husband Howard of Columbia, Tennessee; nieces, Linda Davis and Teresa Dalton; several nieces and nephews; three grandchildren, Samuel, Reagan, and MacKenzie Smith.

Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Wynne, P. O. Box 1085, Wynne, Arkansas 72396.
