George Thomas Staggs, 65 of Lawrenceburg, passed away in his home on Wednesday, April 10, 2013.
George was born in Lawrenceburg on July 25, 1947 to the late Odis Staggs and Mable Flippo Staggs. He was married to his late wife, Doris Dial Staggs. He was employed by Murray-Ohio and worked as a welder. George was always such a loving father, husband, and grandfather to his family. He really loved playing the guitar, and going hunting, fishing, and camping. Mr. Staggs was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg.
The graveside inurnment at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
Survivors for Mr. George Thomas Staggs include: his daughter, Holly (Bo) White; his son, Brent (Rhonda) Staggs; his four grandchildren: Kirstyn Staggs, Kali Staggs, Jason Cannon, and Jaxon White; three great-grandchildren: Kynzlee Haygood, Brylee Haygood, and Cal Cannon; three sisters: Hazel Strantz, Edith Thomas, and Ruby Osborn; four brothers; Grady Staggs, Harold Staggs, Odie Staggs, and Dennis Staggs; several nieces and nephews also survive him. George was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Staggs and two of his sisters, Anna Lopp and Gracie Green.
