George L. Splan, 76, passed away from natural causes on June 6, 2016 in Linden, Tennessee.
He was formerly of Monroe, Michigan. George served in the US Army from 1958 – 1960 and also in the Naval Reserve from 1975 – 1983. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years as a millwright. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed traveling.
Mr. George L. Splan is survived by his wife, Barbara Splan; a sister, Virginia Lockhart-Splan; three sons: George J., Frederick D., and Edward W. Splan, and one step-son, Robert Turner. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
There will be no funeral services, but a private family memorial service will take place honoring George. Memorial donations may be made in his name to American Cancer Society.
