Mr. George S. Wilcox, age 77, a resident of Deer View Drive in Columbia, passed away Friday February 18, 2011 at his residence.
Born March 3, 1933 in Bellview, PA, son of the late Edward H. and Dorothy Stahl Wilcox and the husband of Juanita Carter Wilcox. He retired in 1996 from the McKesson Chemical Company in management. His intrest was golf, tennis, skiing, dancing, watching war movies and he loved sports. Mr. Wilcox was a veteran of the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Horace A. Bass and a member of Riverside United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Rita F. Joe Nickolls of Los Luna, NM, Donna J. Tim Ritchie of Arrington, TN and Sherrie J. Bob Starr of San Diego, CA; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister: Donna Don Williams of Wooster, OH.
Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is assisting the family with their services.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
The family will always be grateful for the care provided to their dad by his two sitters, Angela Miller and Julie Phillps, who loved him and went beyond their call of duty.
