Mr. Georg Nuber, 62, a resident of Woodmont Drive in Columbia, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005.
A memorial service for Mr. Nuber will be conducted Friday, June 10, 2005 at 1:00 pm at St. Peter?s Episcopal Church in Columbia with Father Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home.
Born in Munich, Germany, he was the husband of Hannelore Schmidbauer Nuber, who preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Peter?s Episcopal Church. The family would like to pay tribute to Georg?s love for flying and his great friends at Hunter?s Air Field that he cherished. We also honor Georg for the love of working with his hands and the people who were influenced by his passion.
He is survived by a son, George G. Carol Nuber of Columbia; a daughter, Jennifer Dwayne A. Coble of Columbia; five grandchildren, Jonathan Nuber, Elizabeth Nuber, Angela Nuber, Emily Coble and Alex Coble, Jr., all of Columbia.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Argo, John Lynn, Eddie Willoughby, Buford Poteete, Andy Thomason, Walt Coble, Vera Thigpen, Carl Leland and Marvin Bishop.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim, 2014 Elmer Pogue Dr., Columbia, TN 38401 or to the Maury County Animal Shelter, 2533 Mapleash Dr., Columbia, TN 38401.
