Geneva E. Brown Byrd

Mrs. Geneva E. Brown Byrd, 89, a resident of Brannon Court in Columbia died Friday, October 5, 2003 at Heritage Manor.
Funeral services for Mrs. Byrd will be conducted, Thursday October 9, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Born in Tanner, AL, she was the daughter of the late Mark B. and Etta Mae Gowan Brown. She was a Seamstress with Weather Tamer in Columbia and a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Driver of Panama City, FL; two grandchildren, Tina Bill Bauer of League City, TX and Mark Robin Cobb of Ft. Worth, TX; great grandchildren, Casie Cobb and Codi Renee Bauer; a half-sister, Margaret E. Bill Norris of Garner, NC; a half-brother, Martin K. June Brown of Columbia and a nephew, Donald Dana White of Columbia. She was preceded in death by step-mother, Beulah Brown; a sister, Flossie White and a brother, Johnny Brown.
Pallbearers will be Jeff White, Kenny Brown, Steven Collins, Russell Price, Harold Morrow, Doug Morrow, Jeff Collins and Norm Kranz. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Ruth Sunday School Class and the staff and Nurses of Heritage Manor.
Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church Building Fund.
