Geneva Dell Fitzgerald Taylor

Mrs. Geneva Dell Fitzgerald Taylor, 78, a resident of Columbia, died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Life Care Center.

Graveside services for Mrs. Taylor will be conducted Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 10:00 am at Polk Memorial Gardens. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of arrangements.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Moody and Mary Willis Fitzgerald and wife of the late Paul Taylor. She was a retiree of Dupont and Spontex and a member of Northside Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Jimmy Allen Jill Fitzgerald of Columbia; a daughter, Mary Gayle Taylor of Columbia; four grandchildren, Rhonda Cliff Walker of Columbia, Rachel Matt Reed of Shelbyville, Monica Powell of Columbia and Jason Brook Fitzgerald of Columbia; three great grandchildren, Emma Kate Walker and George Walker, both of Columbia and Robert Marshall Reed of Shelbyville; two sisters, Ophelia Slaughter and Betty Lee, both of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Paula Young and a great grandson, Sam Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dupont retirees and family members.
