Geneva Womble Watts

March 29, 1929 — December 16, 2002

Mrs. Geneva Womble Watts, 73, died peacefully in her sleep Monday, December 16, 2002 at her residence on Lawrence Street in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services for Mrs. Watts will be conducted Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend David Graze officiating. Burial will be in the Watts Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Giles County native was the daughter of the late W.D. Womble and Tinnie Bee Steelman Womble Crumley. She was the widow of Buford Wilburn "Wib" Watts, whom she was married to for 56 years, who went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2001.

She was a retired seamstress of Weather Tamer and a member of the Temple Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Nell Ronnie Stewart of Duck River and Shara Janet Cole of Mt. Pleasant; five sons, James Wesley Watts of Duck River, Roger Don Jeana Watts of Columbia, Christopher Pam Watts of Lawrenceburg, Stanley Clark Kay Watts of Elkton, and Anthony Dwight Patsy Watts of Culleoka; a sister, Blanche Manning of Lawrenceburg; six sisters-in-law, Lucy Lurlene Shrader of Pulaski, Ida Belle Shrader of Campbellsville, Louella Womble of Pulaski, Lacy Womble of Lawrenceburg, Grace Womble of Lawrenceburg, and Irene Womble of Detroit, MI; two brothers-in-law, Robert Dianese Watts and Charlie Diane Watts both of Lawrenceburg; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; fifty-eight nieces and nephews; her best friend, Nell Moss of Columbia; she was preceded in death by one son, Wendell Gene Watts; three sisters, Willie Bee Manning, Lennie Louise Heflin, and Polly Rosita Baldwin; five brothers, F. dean Womble, George L. Womble, John Allen Womble, J.D. Womble, and Earl Womble.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Pangle, Jason Warden, Perry Winters, Jonathan Watts, Brandon Watts, and Harley Shrader. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Temple Baptist Chu
