Mrs. Geneva Thompson London, 65, a resident of Blythe Circle in Columbia, died Saturday, September 10, 2005 at her home.
Funeral services for Mrs. London will be conducted Monday, September 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Milton Hicks and Reverend Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late A.D. and Eula Rainey Thompson and wife of Joe G. London. She was a co-owner of London Auto Repair and retail manager for Morris Shoes of Tullahoma. Mrs. London was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, whose hobbies included collecting butterflies and dolls and loved singing. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kimberly London of Columbia and Connie Rex Gissiner of St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters, Hildred Tomlinson of Culleoka and Norma Tom Wright of Murfreesboro, TN; two brothers, Foster Thompson of Hendersonville, TN and Danny Thompson of Nashville, TN;a daughter-in-law, Donna London of Columbia; six grandchildren, Joe Devon Martin of Beverly Hills, FL, Kandace London of Lansing, MI, Becky Travis Hann, Joel London, Jonathan Beth Boles, all of Columbia and Mandy Manship of Milton, DE; four great grandchildren, Joshua Hann, Elijah Boles, Aleena Martin and Katleen Demers; a beloved pet, Dawnae Sue London; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Tim London; a brother, Don Thompson and a sister, Patty Sue Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Joel London, Gilbert London, Travis Hann, Marty Leland, Artie Haskins and Ronald Greggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Briggs, Curtis Dowdy, Allen Elias, Allen Harris, Monty Gilliam, Donald Paul and Ray Harris.
