During the 1960’s and 1970’s, she worked at Pigg & Parsons in downtown Columbia, keeping the men of Columbia dressed well. In the 1980’s and 1990’s, women would go to Belk’s and later Peeble’s Department Store to visit the red head in the cosmetic department to select their favorite cosmetics and colognes. She loved her children. Her hard work allowed both her children the opportunity to go to college and lead successful careers.
Geneva was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church for 70 years. She was easy to pick out in the choir by her glowing red hair and smile.
