Rev. Geneva June Purvis Rudolph, age 83, a resident of Reynolds Road in Marshall Co., passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, in Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Telford Tharp, Rev. Keith Mosier, and Rev. Paul Mooney officiating. Burial will follow in the Derryberry Cemetery in the Rally Hill Community.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Kokomo, IN, native was the daughter of the late Jasper Allen and Priscilla Hughes Purvis. She was the wife of the late Rev. Mark Edward Rudolph to whom she would have been married 63 years in July. She was an ordained minister in the Pentecostal Church and along with her husband, founded and pastored the First United Pentecostal Church in Peru, IN for 40 years. She had cooked at the Indiana First United Pentecostal Church Camps for 25 years and was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Columbia.
Survivors include two daughters, Marquita John Sparks of Columbia and Emma Zabel of Westminster, CO, 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
