Geneva Counts

February 7, 1931 — March 15, 2007

Mrs. Geneva Counts, age 76, a resident of James Campbell Blvd. in Columbia passed away Thursday, March 15 at her home.

Funeral service for Mrs. Counts will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 18 at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Melvin Eugene and Annie Lou Morton Kelley and wife of Walter Mack Counts. She worked 15 years at Weather Tamer, was a homemaker and caretaker. She was of the Southern Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Linda Lane Odom, Tommy Judy Counts, Johnny Counts, Pam Mabry, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Michael Tuten of Augusta, GA, Kelley William Rowland of Mt. Pleasant, Walter Nicole Tuten of Bellevue, TN, and Jennifer Aaron Vannasse of Lakeland, FL, Brandi Odom, Penny Clark, Lisa Jeff Hill, Tommy Nicky Counts Jr., Jonathan Natalie Counts, Jenny Counts, Shane Robertson and Justin Mabry, all of Columbia, Leslie Ben Stewart of Killen, AL, Melissa Troy Hughes of Hampshire, Case Stephanie Robertson of Savannah, GA and Jenna Mabry of Terre Haute, IN; 21 great grandchildren; a brother, Wallace Reba Kelley; a niece, LeeAnne Kelley. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Mack Counts; grandparents, Lizzie and Walter Morton, Bud and Bet Kelley.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be William Rowland, Ben Stewart, Jeff Hill, Aaron Vannasse and Troy Hughes.

The family would like to extend special thank you to the Hospice of the Highland Rim.
