Mrs. Freda R. Cook Gibson, age 76, resident of Golf Club Lane, passed away Saturday, January 31, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service for Mrs. Gibson will be conducted Tuesday February 3, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Wayne Hardison officiating. Following the chapel service the family will have a private graveside service at Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 12 noon until service time.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Maury County and was the daughter of the late, Gilbert and Bessie E. London Cook. She is the wife of Joe Carlton Gibson of Columbia. Mrs. Gibson was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a Dental Assistant for many years. She was a member of the Graymere Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Jeff Sherri Prestwich of Tullahoma, Pat Gibson of Nashville and Rainey Kim Gibson of Jackson; two grandsons: Peter Prestwich and Nathan Gibson both of Nashville; a brother Charles Margarett Cook of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Mike Cook, Johnny Cook, Ross Cook, Brian Cook, Chris Cook, Adam Cook, Joe Wade and Paul Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Dooley, Waylon Dean, James Burt, Allen Pressnell, Ron Pope and Dr. Tony Ball.
