Freda June Pruitt King was born April 16, 1939 in Columbia, TN, the daughter of the late Walter E. Pruitt and Sherman Churchwell Pruitt. On December 6, 1984, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren D. King.
Freda was a homemaker and adored and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She took great pleasure in cooking for her family. Freda was a member of the Mooresville Pike Church of Christ.
Mrs. King is survived by her daughter: Lorri Gaye Jackie Sprouse of Columbia, two grandchildren: Brandon Paul Lydia Sprouse of Mt. Pleasant and Jason Alan Sprouse of Columbia; two great-grandchildren: Colin Sprouse and Olivia June Sprouse, both of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters: Mildred "Midget" Turner of Harrogat, TN, Mary Runions of Columbia and Nancy Landry of Columbia along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. King was preceded in death by four brothers: Billy Harrison Pruitt, "Pete" Walter Pruitt, Harold Vernon Pruitt and Ralph Pruitt.
A graveside entombment for Mrs. King will be conducted Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Randy Sprouse officiating. Mrs. King's family will visit with friends on Thursday from 4:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Wade Turner, Bill Doelle, Mark Runions, Cory Harrington, Barry Turner and Billy Pruitt.
