Mr. Fred M. Swann, 67, a resident of North James Campbell Blvd in Columbia passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Swann will be conducted Saturday August 21, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Columbia with Reverend J.O. Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Cullman County, AL, he was the son of the late Albert and Georgia Brown Swann and husband of Dorothy Etheridge Swann. He was a retired foreman with the L & N Railroad and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Dianne Leroy Bradford of Columbia, Sandra Jimmy Griggs of Columbia, Patricia Gary Pulley Pitts of Columbia, Ricky Swann of Alabama, Rhonda Jay Brown of Unionville, Donald Stacy Morris of Hogansville, GA, Larry Swann of Alabama, Tammy Tim Jenkins of Summertown, Lisa Cashion of Cornersville and Leigh Ann Hinson of Columbia; brother, David Swann of Alabama,; two sisters, Maria Fanta and Wilma Swann, both of Alabama; 21 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Swann and a sister, Jeanette Foti.
Pallbearers will be Carey Bradford, Jason Glover, William Brown, Clinton Brown, Charles Morris and Jonathan Morris.
