Fred H. Worthman

Mr. Fred H. Worthman, 89, a resident of Devon Drive in Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Worthman will be conducted at a later date in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln, NE. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Park in Lincoln, NE.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday December 5, from 6:00 ? 9:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Alliance, NE native was the son of the late, Fred H. Worthman and Hilda Mueller Worthman and the widower of Roberta Joyce Luers Worthman. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II as a meteorologist. Mr. Worthman was a graduate of University of Nebraska and retired from TWA, NCAA and was a volunteer at Maury Regional Hospital. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Columbia.
He is survived by a son, Dr. John Worthman of Lynnville, TN; grandchildren: Annie Lynn Worthman of San Diego, CA and John Landan Clark of Spring Hill, TN; one great-granddaughter, Caroline Clark of Spring Hill, TN; two sisters: Lois Feirtagg and Doris Schmidt both of Lincoln, NE; caregivers: Anna Cassel, Margaret Staggs, Mary Hughes, Janet Estes and Michelle Gray. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Worthman and a daughter-in-law, Carol Worthman.
