Mr. Franklin D. "Frank" Hancock, age 69, a resident of Thomas Ave. in Columbia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, February 23, at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Hancock will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Mike Roberts and Rev. Dave Zeigler officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born in Putnam County, TN, he was the son of the late Henry and Martha Dobbs Hancock and the husband of Sadie Whitley Hancock. He was a retired truck driver from Laidlow Hazardous Waste and a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Frank Selena Hancock, Jr. and David Stephanie Hancock, both of Columbia; grandchildren: Ethan Jacob Hancock, Greg McNichols, Ashley E. Fenwick, Brandy C. Hancock and Joshua Hancock; great grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth Fenwick and Alexis McNichols.
He was preceded in death by a son: Ricky L. "Little Rick" Hancock; a brother: James Hancock; two sisters: Beatrice Baker and Ruth Hensley.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Matlock, David Hayes, Jimmy Butler, Jeff Jones, Wayne Smith and James Scott.
