Franklin Elmer Lampley, age 74, of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his residence.
Frank was born January 4, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Clarence and Ruby Lee Lampley. He was a 1959 graduate of Clarksville High School. Frank was a Marine and served our country in the Vietnam War and later served in the Army National Guard, until his retirement. One of the things that Frank enjoyed most was watching wrestling. He was a member of Howell First Baptist Church in Howell, TN. Frank was a loving Father, Grandfather and Uncle and will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
Frank is survived by his daughter: Ruby (Dale) Proctor, of Petersburg, TN; grandchildren: Katie and Ben Proctor; sisters: Wilma Furuya, Ruby Daniels and Angie Cates; brother: Carl Lampley and niece: Michelle Whitehead and her children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents Frank was preceded in death by his sisters: Jenny Lampley and Christine Grevas and brother: Harlan Lampley.
Frank’s family will visit with friends on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Williams Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Brian Gass officiating. Interment will follow at Lampley Cemetery in Fairview. Military Honors will be provided by The American Legion Herbert Griffin Post 19.
Pallbearers are Randy Whitehead, Randy Whitehead Jr., Cody Whitehead, Jonathan Whitehead, Moises Carrera, Dale Proctor and Ben Proctor.
