Franklin Dewayne Foster

Franklin Dewayne Foster, age 56 of Columbia, passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center July 21, 2013 following a short illness.

Dewayne, as he was known by his family and friends, was born February 21, 1957 to the late Minnie Chapman Goar in Florida. He was the husband of the late Sherry Foster who preceded him in death May, 1991. Dewayne enjoyed all aspects of being outdoors especially hunting, fishing and motorcycling. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Mr. Foster was retired from Union Carbide and also worked for the city of Columbia. He was a longtime Christian of the Baptist Faith.

The family invites friends to visit Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Frank Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Dewayne is survived by one son: Shane Foster; grandchildren: Kaylan, Kinley, and Colten Foster; one niece: Lydia Goar; two brothers: Clarence (Linda) Chapman and Tim Goar.
Terry Green, Shane Foster, Jeff Stewart, Tim Goar and Clarence Chapman will serve as the pallbearers.
