Frank “Todd” Terrell was born in Farmington Hills MI on February 5th 1976. While Todd was a late in life “surprise” baby born to Frank & Dorothy Terrell, he was also the “baby brother” that would forever change the lives of his big sisters.
Todd was a natural born charmer; always winking at the ladies even as a young child. He never knew a stranger. He had a great sense of humor and the ability to make people laugh at the most inappropriate times.
Todd grew up with his nieces and nephews more as their big brother rather than their uncle. Todd had a sense of adventure and often got himself and the other kids in precarious situations. Sometimes the adults in his life didn’t appreciate that “sense of adventure” so much.
Todd was a combination of a “kid at heart” that refused to grow up and a gentle “old soul”! He enjoyed playing hard and the idea of a simple “back to nature” lifestyle. His idea of the American dream was a tent in the woods by a river with a fishing pole. He loved to garden, forage, and share the fruits of his labor with anyone who would take the time to enjoy them.
Todd has never been materialistic except when it came to his favorite jacket. Even then he was willing to share. He would often give whatever he had to whoever claimed to need something. He often befriended the elderly, the handicapped, and those less fortunate without ever realizing he was probably more in need than anyone he reached out to help. He was truly a picture of unselfishness.
Todd lived most of his life without his Dad, who passed away when Todd was a young child. Todd also lost his Mom when he was only 23 years old. He always tried to keep a close relationship with the memories he had of his Mom and often talked about meeting her again. Todd struggled with mental illness and addictions throughout his life and tragically took his own life on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. He was 46 years old. Todd knew the Lord as his Saviour and was reunited with his Mom where he now is free from the demons that tortured his mind.
Todd is survived by his sons: Hunter John Terrell 23 and SPC 4 Andrew Wayne Terrell 21 and their mother Abby Holmgren-Gajeski.
