Frank E. Hanvy, Jr., age 65, passed away April 19, 2014 at Specialty Select Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Frank was born in Mt. Pleasant, TN February 20, 1949 to the late Frank E., Sr. and Margaret McKennon Hanvy. Frank was a man of good character. He loved his Lord, his family, and his country. He was of the Christian faith and always showed the love of Christ by how he treated others. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Marine Corp. His greatest achievement and favorite way of spending time was with his family and traveling. Frank was a good-humored fellow and loved to make others smile and laugh and for that everyone could not help but love him. He was very special and will be missed dearly by all that knew him.
Frank is survived by his: wife of 44 years: Jane Richards Hanvy; son: Franklin (Tasha) Hanvy; daughters: Teresa (Jason) Drum and Wanda (Tim Sweeney) Saltzmann; grandchildren: Stephen, Jason, Austin, John, Brandon, Gabriel, Jon, Jeremiah, Joey, Timmy, Cody, and Brianna; sister: Betty Lou (Lehn) Salisbury; brothers: Terry (Susie) Hanvy, Kerry (Beth) Hanvy, and Wayne Hanvy.
He is preceded in death by his: son: Alfred Hanvy; sisters: Gail Blair and Sharon Morgan; brother: Grady Hanvy; granddaughter: Angela Drum.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 21, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant from 5-8 p.m. A celebration of Frank’s life will be Tuesday, April 22 also at Williams Funeral Home Mt. Pleasant beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are: Josh Hanvy, Travis Hanvy, Kevin Pugh, Timmy Pugh, Mark Browning, Joe McKennon, and Joey Pugh.
