Frances Virginia Mcconnell

Frances Virginia " Gina" McConnell, 93, a former resident of Rolling Fields and spent two years at the Bridge where she lived, passed away Wednesday April 14th at Life Care Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. McConnell will be conducted Saturday April 17th, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Brother Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born January 18, 1917 , she was the daughter of the late Odie and Nora Fitzgerald and the widow of Willard McConnell who preceded her in death. For a period of time she worked at Dupont. She loved to crochet and collected ceramic dolls. Mrs. McConnell was a member of West Seventh Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son: Joe Andrews Dale; grandchildren: Paul T. Dale and Keith Dale; 8 great- grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Boshers and two brothers: Richard Fitzgerald and Ulner Fitzgerald.
Pallbearers will be Glen Murfee, Nicholas Dale, Michael Dale, Preston Dale, Thomas Miller and Adam Benett.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Joshua Dale.
