Mrs. Frances Smith Page, age 88, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at NHC Hillview in Columbia.
Frances was born in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to the late Clyde Hilliard and Ida Horne Smith on May 21, 1925. She was the widow of John Dixon Page who preceded her in death on January 12, 1999. Mrs. Page was a graduate of Hay long High School in Mt. Pleasant and attended Bowling Green Business University. She was active in civic affairs having served as a past Regent of the Tenassee Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Columbia.
Mrs. Page is survived by her children: Linda Page (Don) McAnally and Robert D. Page; grandchildren: Dr. Stephanie Powell (Dr. Rod) Thomas, Dr. Benjamin Scott (Jada) Powell and John Robert Page; great-grandchildren: Katherine Page Thomas and Rodney W. Thomas, III; niece: Jean Walters (Robert) Jones and nephews Clyde V. (Debbie) Smith Jr. and Robert H. (Donna) Smith. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Clyde V. Smith and Evelyn S. Walters and Caroline V. Smith.
Graveside services will be held for Mrs. Page on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Melinda Britt officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 3 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Dr. Benjamin S. Powell, John Robert Page, Robert D. Jones, Robert H. Smith, Donald M. McAnally and David A. Brown will serve as pallbearers.
