Frances Louise Black

Mrs. Frances Louise Anderson Black, age 83, resident of Pulaski Highway in Columbia, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 4, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Black was born on October 18, 1927 in Maury County and was the daughter to the late Albert and Lethea Plummer Anderson. She was the wife of the late William Floyd Black. Mrs. Black worked as a presser at Publix Shirt Factory. She loved country dancing. She attended Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Columbia. She loved her granddaughter, Stephanie's dog named Duff, to the point she claimed him as her own.

Mrs. Black is survived by her daughter, Etta Wilson of Columbia; a brother, Paul Anderson of Lewisburg; a granddaughter, Stephanie Jason Alexander of Murfreesboro; her very special caregiver, Ashley Haye; four special nieces and nephews, Vicky Terry Hutcherson, Frankie Mitch Mobley, Wesley and Harold Glenn Anderson; and two special sister-in-laws, Helen and Ruby Anderson. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Floy Black who passed away on May 18, 2008, brothers, Hubert Anderson, Sammy Anderson, Arthur Franklin "Frogg" Anderson, and sisters, Evelyn Unger, Ann Anderson and Betty Jo Brimm.

Funeral services for Mrs. Black will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 7, 2011 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Black's Family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Mobley, Westley Anderson, Harold Glenn Anderson, Jason Alexander, Justin Alexander and Gary Anderson.
