Frances Elizabeth Kittrell, a resident of Hay Long Ave. in
Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, September 16, at her residence.
Funeral services for Miss Kittrell will be conducted Friday,
September 19 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Phillip Wright and Rev. Randy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery.
Visitation with friends will be at the church Friday from 1:00P.M. until service time. Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant will be in charge of the arrangements.
The Mt. Pleasant native was the daughter of the late Frank and Esther Prowell Kittrell. She retired as a teacher from the Maury County Schools in 1989. Miss Kittrell had a B.A. and Masters Degree from Vanderbilt University. She was a member of the D.A.R., Kings Daughter's, Maury County Retired Teachers Association and the Delta Kappa Gamma. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant and was active in the United Methodist Women. She was an avid gardener and loved all kinds of flowers.
She is survived by friends: Lawrence Douglas and Linda Barker both of Mt. Pleasant, and Peggy McCoy of Indiana; three cousins: Frances Neidhart of Sherman, TX, Jim Howard of North Carolina and Caroline Kittrell Gosling of CA.
Pallbearers will be Mark Barker, Derek Boyd, Eric Hughes, Jim Hutcheson and Tom Sharp. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Dale, Bob Hull, Doyce Holden, Gene Barker, and members of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
