Frances Doreen Edmunson

Frances Doreen Edmunson, age 76, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024, at NHC Lawrenceburg. Born on August 27, 1947, in Prince Georges, Maryland, to the late Frank Corcoran and Ceil McCall Corcoran, Doreen lived a life dedicated to the wellness and happiness of others. She was a cherished resident of Summertown, Tennessee, having moved here from Mt. Vernon, Iowa a few years ago.

Doreen was a devoted wellness practitioner at Frontier Food Co-op, where she touched countless lives with her care and expertise. Her dedication to the well-being of others was matched only by her commitment to her own self-care rituals. She found solace and joy in the melodies of jazz music, often letting the rhythms fill her room and uplift her spirits.

An artist at heart, Doreen was known for her meticulous craftsmanship in painting and clay ceramics, always perfecting the finest details. Her artistic endeavors were a testament to her patience and passion.

Doreen had a bright sense of humor and an infectious laughter, which she generously shared with those around her. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and valued, leaving an unforgettable impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Doreen is survived by her beloved sons, Aaron and Gabe Edmunson; her lovely daughter-in-law, Libra; her cherished granddaughters, Lydia and Ruby Edmunson, and grandson Declan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will continue to honor her memory and legacy.

Her family and friends will forever remember Frances for her warmth, kindness, and the light she brought into their lives. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A private memorial service will be held later this summer.
