Mrs. Frances A. Dale Jones, age 72, a resident of West 13th Street in Columbia, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M.in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late George C. Dale and Flossie Beatrice Lamar Dale. She was the wife of the late Wayne O. Jones. Mrs. Jones was a retired sewing machine operator with River Valley Mills and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her children: Brenda Joe King of Summertown, Larry Anita Jones of Culleoka, Tommy Dale of Williamsport and Stevie Carolyn Jones of Columbia; grandchildren: Angie James Morris of Hohenwald, Thomas Stephanie Dale of Columbia, Jason Jones of Summertown, Jeff Jones of Summertown, Brandon Shelia Pope of Hampshire, Tabitha Pope of Columbia, Harvey Hinson and Robert Hinson both of Hohenwald; two great-grandchildren: Jayne Morris and Brodie Hinson, both of Hohenwald; one sister: Margie Odell Haywood of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers: Charles Sara Dale of Mt. Pleasant, Carlton Shelia Dale of Williamsport and Jerry Nancy Dale of Chapel Hill. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Katherine Duncan and Mildred Hill.
Pallbearers will be Mike Yearby, Steve Cross, Eddie Hill, Ricky Hill, Jeff Jones, Jason Jones, Ernie Hill and Harvey Hinson.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 2120 Crestmoor Road, Nashville, TN 37215.
