Floyd W. Rhew

Mr. Floyd W. Rhew, age 92, a resident of Camelot Drive, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at Maury Regional Hospital.
A memorial service for Mr. Rhew will be conducted Thursday, January 8, at 3:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Columbia with Rev. Jeff Jacobs officiating.
Williams Funeral in Columbia is in charge of local arrangements.
The Rector, AR, native was the son of the late Newt Rhew and Daisy Marvin Smith. He was the husband of the late Beatrice A. Toone Rhew. Mr. Rhew was retired from General Motors Fisher Body Division after 30 years of service. He was a member of the UAW and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two daughters: Vonna Sue Lynn Nelson of Columbia and Glenda Fay James Wheatley of Spring Hill; grandchildren: Bradley Faris Wheatley of Spring Hill, Lawrence Shelly Nelson of Hohenwald, Patricia Leroy Schmuck of Rogers, AR, Lynn Charles Nelson , Jr., of Columbia, Andrew Wheatley of Spring Hill and Lisa David VandenBerg of Phoenix, AZ; 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Columbia.
