Florence Juris

Florence Juris, born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, passed away gracefully and peacefully on April 27, 2023, in Hampshire, TN, in the presence of loving family at the home of her daughter, at the age of 96.

Florence had a zest for life and loved to travel. She visited Europe multiple times, where she embraced new cultures and experiences. Florence was a devout member of Prince of Peace Church in Dallas, PA. She had a passion for literature and was an avid reader. She worked as a Data Transcriber for the Social Security Administration for 40+ years.

Florence is survived by her children, JoAnn Karolchik (Albert) of Hampshire, TN, Jerome Juris (Mary) of Asheboro, NC, and James Juris of Denver, CO. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jesse and Joshua Juris and Brian Karolchick, and one great-grandchild. Florence was preceded in death by her husband: John Juris; her parents and brother, Raymond Janusanis.

Florence was known for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her infectious smile and positive outlook on life.

A private service will be held by her family, at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, 420 Main St, Dallas, PA 18612

Florence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and those who were fortunate enough to know her.
