Florence Baker Slaughter

Florence Baker Slaughter, 80, of Brannon Court, Columbia, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 in Maury Regional Hospital.
She is survived by three sons: James Donald Betty Slaughter of Primm Springs, J. W. Jane Ann Slaughter of Columbia, and Wayne Slaughter of Primm Springs; three daughters: Rachel Oneil Hanes of Leatherwood, Marie Edwin Chumley and Helen Roberts both of Columbia; nine grandchildren: Michael Cathy Hanes, Darrell Hanes, Jonathon Jill Slaughter, Jeremy Slaughter, Kevin Silvia Chumley, Marlina Slaughter Van Ervin, Brad Slaughter, Ricky Slaughter, and Dana Roberts; and 3 great-grandchildren: Eli and Ethan Hanes, and Jake Sproul.
The Hickman Co. native was the daughter of the late A B Baker and Dora Ragsdale Baker, widow of Jim Slaughter, and the last of 10 children, preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Slaughter was a homemaker, and affiliated with the Highland Church of Christ and the Joens Valley Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 19 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Slaughter Cemetery in Primm Springs.
The family will visit with friends Thursday and Friday from 4:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
