Mrs. Faye Laverne Mangrum Boshers, age 71, a resident of Lawrence Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, April 24 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Boshers will be conducted Sunday, April 26 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Frank Webb and Rev. Jack Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Faye was born September 26, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant, TN, daughter of the late Luther and Annie Kate Sutton Mangrum. She was the wife of Horace Boshers of Mt. Pleasant. Faye was an extraordinary housewife, who loved traveling all over the U.S.A. She worked in the VBS at First Baptist in Mt. Pleasant and was very active in the church. She was involved with delivery of food for the Meals on Wheels program, volunteering at Hidden Acres Nursing Home where she played Bingo and celebrated residents birthdays.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Vicki Kate Boshers William Wouters of Commerce, MI and Phillip Lee Boshers of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Eric Warren Noe of S, Lyon, MI and Evan Phillip Noe of Commerce, MI; sister: Betty Green of Mt. Pleasant; brother: Luther Calvin Mangrum, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; other daughters: Lynn Bobby Thurman, Sandy Jerry Roberts and Kim Lane Davis; special friends the twisted sisters: Shirley McNeece, Marion Dugger, Edith Spencer and Shawn Brewer. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Virginia Jones, Brownie Adams and Joyce Crews and a brother: Orville Mangrum.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Roberts, Wayne, Bill, Larry, Darrin and Steve Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Haylong Class of 1955 and Willing Servants Sunday School Class of First Baptist.
