Fannie Mai Kelley Baker

Mrs. Fannie Mai Baker, 89, a resident of Morningside Lane in Columbia, passed away Monday July 17, 2006 at Life Care Center in Columbia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be conducted Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 10:30 am at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Leonard Deen officiating. Burial will be in the Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.


Born in Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Izora Bradford Kelley and the wife of the late William A. Baker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Philippi Church of Christ.

She is survived by three daughters, Christine John Webb, Mildred Baker and Catherine Dean Potts, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Ronnie Nelly Baker of Nashville, Nelson Cathy Webb of Forrest, WV, Steve Jan Webb and Nancy Benny Ayers, both of Columbia and Janet Jerry Hubbell of Culleoka; 7 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Luther Baker.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hubbell, Steve Webb, Ronnie Baker, Benny Ayers, Nelson Webb and Nicholas Ayers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Hubbell, Neil Webb, Justin Webb and the men of the Philippi Church of Christ.
