Mrs. Evelyn Nadine Briceno, age 73, resident of Simms St. in Lawrenceburg, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Briceno will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 29, 2010 in the chapel of the Williams Funeral Home of Columbia with family members officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Born July 8, 1937 in St. Augustine, TX, she was the daughter of the late K.P. Mott and Irene Benefield Mott. She was a loving mother to all of her children and grandchildren. She was formerly married to the late Nicholas Francis Briceno. Evelyn worked in the cafeteria for Saturn Corporation. She rode motorcycles, enjoyed reading and loved being with her grandchildren. Evelyn enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR, especially, Kyle Petty and Jeff Gordon.
Evelyn is survived by four sons and one daughter: Nicholas Kathy Briceno of Lawrenceburg, TN, Michael K. Danita Briceno of Statesville, NC, John R. Briceno of Shreveport, LA, Kelly D. Carolyn Briceno of St. Paul, NC and Glenda J. Briceeno of Lawrenceburg, TN; 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren; a brother: Kelly Mott Carol of Longview, TX, and one sister, Pauline Charles Wadsworth of Stonewall, LA; nine nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by a sister: Fern Barron.
Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.
