Evelyn Marie Calvert

April 28, 1928 — October 18, 2008

Mrs. Evelyn Marie Calvert, age 80, a resident of Potts Street in Columbia, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at her daughter's residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Calvert will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Roy and Audrey Matthews Dugger and the wife of the late Cecil E. Calvert. She worked for TN Valley Meats and Uncle Charlie's Meat Packing. She was a member of Halls Chapel Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children: Gary Barbara Calvert of Summertown, David Gina Calvert, Stephen Beverly Calvert and Sharon Calvert, all of Columbia, Janice Calvert and fiancée, Jim MacGeen of Pulaski, Teresa Calvert Glenn Overstreet of Columbia; sisters: Jessie Harold Grooms and Carolyn Wayne Eastep, both of Mt. Pleasant, Catherine Pruitt of Columbia and Betty Eastep of Mt. Pleasant; brother: Raymond Delcie Dugger of Mt. Pleasant; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Randal Pruitt, Danny Hinson, Mike Eastep, Wayne Dugger, Gabriel Martinez, Roy Clark, Glenn Overstreet and Scottie Eastep. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her beloved niece, Debra Hinson Boshers, and the hospice nurses, Pam Holland and Pam Honey, for everything that they did for their precious mother and for the support that they gave in the family's time of grief. May God bless each and every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will always remember your acts of kindness and support.
