Evelyn Adams Lovett, age 91, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, surrounded by family in Columbia, Tennessee.
Evelyn was born on March 14, 1931, to the late Albert Sidney and Sally Taylor Adams in Maury County, Tennessee.
The Maury County native was a member of Grace Nazarene Church. Evelyn loved being a part of her community and helping anyone in any way she could. As President of American Field Service (AFS), a foreign exchange program, she hosted three different foreign exchange students in her home that attended Columbia Central High School. She worked in the garment industry in Columbia until her retirement.
Evelyn was a woman blessed with a large loving family. Being one of 12 children and growing up on a farm, she learned the trade of vegetable gardening and cooking for a large bunch. Evelyn expressed her love through her cooking. Her most cherished times were spent with family at reunions and holidays over a big warm meal.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Dennis (Sue) Lovett of Clarksville, and Robin (Suzanne) Lovett of Franklin; granddaughters: Laura Lee Lovett and Anne Elise Lovett, both of Franklin; sister: Barbara (Bob) Hunt; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Lovett, nine sisters, and one brother.
