Mrs. Evelyn High Hines, 77, resident of Brookside Drive in Mount Pleasant died Thursday, October 3, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Hines will be conducted Sunday, October 6, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. at Arlington Cemetery with Reverend Phillip Wright and Reverend Eugene Barrett officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Albert Sydney and Stella Brimm High. She was the wife the late William Howard Hines who died in 1994. In addition to being a homemaker Mrs. Hines was a volunteer at the Mt. Pleasant Phosphate Museum. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant.
She is survived by a sister, Catherine John Stockard of Cleveland, TN; five nieces, Melba Charles Jacobs of Mt. Pleasant, Marian Charlie Dugger of Hohenwald, Patsy Jim Coble of Arab, AL, Emily Laddie Zimmet of Ft. Worth, TX and Jeannie Tice of Mt. Pleasant; two nephews, Joe Massey of Mt. Pleasant and John Kim Stockard Jr. of Dalton, GA.; one special great nephew, Chuck Clark and several great nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Willodean Hines of Oak Ridge, TN.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Owen "Tommy" Prince, Jr; three sisters, Virginia Massey, Lib King, Nell Massey; two brothers, Sydney High and Fred High.
Pallbearers will be Jim Coble, Charlie Dugger. Jr., T.J. Tice, Phillip Massey, John Stockard, Jr. and Shane Lowrey.
