Eva Jane “Sissy” Bradford Cox, age 79, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee.
Sissy was born March 17, 1942, to the late Homer Bradford and Lillie B. Malugin Bradford in Maury County, Tennessee.
Eva Cox was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed playing cards and always delight watching her UT Lady Vols basketball get a win, like they usually do. Eva also loved nature and animals, particularly birds. Her family was greeted with chirps when they visited Eva’s home as she kept small birds for many years. More than anything she loved her family and spending time with them was her greatest joy. Whether it was trips to the mountains or down to the gulf, those are the memories they will cherish the most. Eva is deeply loved, and she will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends and visitors on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM with Brian Talley officiating. Ms. Eva will be laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer at Polk Memorial Gardens.
In addition to her parents, Eva Jane is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roscoe Cox, Jr.
She is survived by her children: Loretta Cox, Michael (Bobbie) Cox, and Jonathan Cox; grandchildren: Shandi, Beth, Criss, Darrell, Dillon, and Michael.
