Ethel Lucille Perry Spears, age 85, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
Ethel was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 2, 1931 to the late Jessie Perry and the late Frances Elizabeth Davenport. Ethel married Albert Spears and they shared 67 wonderful years together until he passed away on October 6, 2015. She worked as a nurse assistant at Greystone Nursing Home in Williamson County. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother. She loved spending time sewing and in her early years she was very crafty making most of her children’s clothes, and also beautiful quilts. Travel was a favorite hobby, especially trips to Florida, with beaches probably being her favorite destinations of all. However, she would just as easily go fishing or head to the mountains to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. She loved doing puzzles. She was a dedicated Christian, being a member of South Gate Church of Christ.
