Mrs. Esther Mae "Sis" Zimmerman Ketchum, age 79, a resident of Hwy. 20 in Summertown, passed away Sunday, September 26 at the residence of her daughter.
Born November 5, 1930 in Lewis County, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Esther Wilson Zimmerman and wife of the late Floyd Ketchum. She retired from HIS Jeans in Hohenwald, loved sewing, cooking and making banana pudding for her family. Before attending Main Street Church of Christ, Mrs. Ketchum attended Summertown Church of Christ for many years.
She is survived by her children: James Joan Kittrell of Mt. Pleasant, Katie Lanier, Joyce Johnny King, Troyce Spears and Wendell Kim Ketchum, all of Summertown; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; special niece: Gracie Riddle of Summertown. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ketchum will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 29 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Ricky Glass officiating. Burial will follow in the Hinestown Cemetery in Lewis County.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Ben Kittrell, Adam King, Chris Carrington, Hunter Ketchum, Corey Estes and Jackson Estes. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Main Street Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
